Who we are

Lamka Town (a James Munluah / Yedid Studio project) runs Lamka Town. If you have any question or concern about your data, contact us at lamkatown@yedidstudio.com.

What we collect, and why

To sign you in, we collect your email address. We use it to send your one-time login code and to keep your account so you can take part in Lamka Town. If you play the game while signed in, we also keep your game progress (stars, rebuilt spots, quests) so it follows you to any device. That is all the personal data we hold today. When the game lets you post photos or visions later, those are covered by an updated notice before that feature opens.

Our legal basis

We rely on your consent. You give it by ticking the box when you sign in. You provide your email voluntarily for the purpose of signing in, and we collect nothing more than we need for that purpose.

Who else handles your email

Your account is stored in India. Your login code is sent through a service based in the United States. Sending data outside India is allowed under the data protection law of India, except to countries the government restricts.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you delete your account, or until 24 months pass with no sign-in, whichever comes first. After that it is erased.

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold on you, correct it, or erase it, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. The easiest way is to delete your account on the Account page, which erases your email and your game progress. You can also email us at lamkatown@yedidstudio.com. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Children

During this pilot, Lamka Town is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will erase it.

Complaints

Please contact us first so we can put things right. You also have the right to complain to the Data Protection Board of India, the authority under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
